June 21 is the first day of North America’s summer.
Summer begins tomorrow, and that made me realize that my Google Calendar did not show the first day of the seasons. So, after doing just a little research, I learned it’s easy to add the first day of Summer and the other seasons, plus lots of other cool stuff, to your Google Calendar.

Google Calendar: Add Summer
I think the easiest way is to go to the Google Calendar screen itself, and find the drop-down menu in the “Other Calendars” area on the left-hand side of the screen. Click the menu arrow there and select “Browsing Interesting Calendars” to see lists for EarthSeasons, holidays, sports and other types of calendars you can add. Note that the “More” tab has calendars for moon phases, and your local sunrise and sunset times, among other things. Click the “Preview” link to see a sample or the “Subscribe” link to include a certain add-on to your Google Calendar. Look at timeanddate.com to find out more about the summer solstice and other seasons. Happy summer!
