Take a chance on one really unique piece of clothing, and have fun with it! This swing sweater skirt sparks happiness in me!

Take a chance on one really unique piece of clothing, and have fun with it! This swing sweater skirt sparks happiness in me!

Know what the Wroot wore Wednesday?  This black and white sweater swing skirt from Chelsea & Theodore.  This skirt is so much fun to wear!  I think that I actually smile more when I wear this, and feel happier!

It may be the dog days of summer, but a black and white swing skirt will keep you cool!

Do you have clothes like that?  Clothes with a “spark” that bring out joy?

This skirt is made from a heavy knit “sweater” material, has an an elastic waist, and is super, well, swingy!

I happened upon this skirt at Sam’s Club, of all places, and was surprised by its nice weight, the quality, and then the nice price–ten dollars!  Sam’s doesn’t have mirrors or dressing rooms, but a helpful employee suggested that she take a picture with my camera phone of me holding the skirt up against me.  It wasn’t the ideal way to make a decision, but it was enough to convince me to buy the skirt and bring it home.

An actual breeze blew in for this shot...maybe swing skirts make magic happen!

I’m so glad I did, because I really fell in love with it once I actually tried it on.  Here, I am wearing the skirt with a black 3/4 sleeve cardigan, a plain white t-shirt, black heels, and simple gold jewelry.  I think that any color of solid top would look great with this swing skirt.

Swing skirts may not be as common as pencil skirts right now, but that’s okay…sometimes it’s fun to shake things up a little!   I found some cute swing skirts at this site and at this Pinterest board, for instance.  I feel pretty sure that this black and white skirt will work year-round, too.  I can’t wait to try it with tights and boots this fall and winter.

This sweater swing skirt would also look great with tights and boots in the fall or winter

Make a memorable entrance…and exit…in an adorable swing skirt

Black and white sweater swing skirt by Chelsea & Theodore purchased this spring at Sam’s Club, black 3/4 sleeve cardigan by Merona purchased three years ago from Target, simple white t-shirt purchased at Walmart, and black heels by Franco Sarto, Ruffina, purchased last year at Designer Shoe Warehouse.
