Know what the Wroot wore Wednesday? This blue floral jacket by Candie’s, paired with a black top and simple knit black skirt.
Forget about that antiquated rule that forbids wearing black with blue or navy! I think that a clever combination of black with navy or blue can look tasteful and stylish, and obviously others do too, as shown here and here.
I found this floral jacket by Candie’s in the juniors department at Kohl’s a few weeks ago, on sale for $17.00. Many of the styles in the juniors department look too young for me, but I think this jacket looks professional enough, especially when paired with a conservative skirt and heels.
This jacket did not come with a button. Since I thought it flattered my shape more to cinch it closed, I simply pinned it with a hidden safety pin.
I really dig the three quarter sleeves on this floral jacket too…they help keep the jacket practical for warmer weather and for “rolling up your sleeves” work at the office.
