What the Wroot Wore Wednesday: Boatneck Patterned Dress

Know what the Wroot wore Wednesday?  This boatneck patterned dress that combines blue, green and gold.

Blue and green and gold go nicely together, don't you think?

I’ve actually had this awesome little dress for about three years. I get so many compliments when I wear it, that I decided to feature it on What the Wroot Wore Wednesday!

I added simple gold jewelry, which complements the bright blue, green and golds of the dress.  Also, I wore a bright pink lipstick (Fuchsia Flash by Maybelline Color Sensational) that pops with the colors of the dress.

I also decided to wear my hair up so as to show off the pretty neckline and the pattern of the dress.

I have a lot of thick hair…here, I simply twisted it and tucked it into the big clip.  There’s nothing else holding my hair…easy peasy, and a nice alternative for those mornings when I’m running late or too lazy to do anything else with my hair!

This boatneck patterned dress with three quarter sleeves is made out of a soft stretchy fabric that drapes so nicely.

It’s comfortable, and although it’s kind of bright, I think it’s quite suitable for even a conservative office work environment.

As I’ve mentioned on my About page, one of my pet peeves is scratchy tags on clothing, and I don’t hesitate to cut out those scratchy tags.  This dress’s tags were cut out by me, which means they were obviously scratchy, so I can’t tell you the brand. But there are lots of other cute boatneck patterned dresses out there, like this and this.  Shoes by Franco Sarto purchased at Designer Shoe Warehouse (similar). Lipstick is 865 Fuchsia Flash by Maybelline Color Sensational.  Gold necklace and earrings are older gifts to me.

Thanks Jess! Blues and greens tend to look good on gingers, I’ve found…you always look dynamite when you wear emerald green for your posts, for instance!
