Display cut pansies indoors before the summer heat wilts them outside
Ah, glorious summer is just around the corner, but with it comes the blistering hot weather, at least in these parts of the U.S. where I live. That’s when I know it’s time to dig up my outdoor potted pansy flowers and replace them with summer annuals.

Pansies are lovely indoors too…
Still, I don’t what those last colorful pansy blooms to go to waste, so I bring them indoors to make simple, but endearing arrangements.

Small vases seem made for a bunch of cut pansies
It’s delightful to finally use some of my more diminutive vases and vessels that I keep handy to display cut pansies before summer. Because I so rarely bring pansies indoors, these winter-hardy flowers are a joy to behold on my kitchen table, coffee table, or bedside stand.

Bring colorful cut pansies indoors
I’ve found that cut pansies will look fresh and presentable in a vase of water for about four days. Pansy petals are edible too, and look stunning on cakes, even oatmeal.

Before the weather gets too hot, hold on to spring a little longer, and display cut pansies before summer!
