A Bevy of Beach Themed Gifts
To help usher in this first day of summer, I decided to show you a bevy of beach themed gifts that I recently gave my mom. With the warmer weather and sunny days of the season, you also might want to consider giving fun collections of beachy gifts to a lucky hostess, a birthday gal (or guy), or even as a wedding or engagement gift!
My mom’s bevy of beach-themed gifts included some wines with beach-themed art on the labels, a tea towel with colorful tropical fish, a sea salt scented candle, Oceane perfume, and a potted ponytail palm. I could tell that Mom loved not only the overall theme, but also each of the individual gifts. And it was sooo much fun hunting and gathering to put together this collection of gifts!
I started with the wines, because, you know, wine is
usually always top priority! As you can see, all three of these wines have labels with beach art..a Riesling by Flipflop Wines, a Sauvignon Blanc by Starborough, and a Riesling by Seaglass.
As a side note, this Starborough wine may have cool beach label art, but it also happens to be a very good Sauvignon Blanc, for a decent price.
Wines with beach art labels are pretty much ideal for an alcoholic gift, in my book…or, um, brown bag…
Wanting to include a potted palm in a Mediterranean-looking container as one of the beach-themed gifts, I decided on this ponytail palm from Lowe’s. I found the perfect container at Ross, and I’ve seen very similar containers at HomeGoods and Bed Bath & Beyond. If you will use potting soil specifically for palms, like this, then a ponytail palm should be easy to grow indoors.
I happened upon this Oceane eau de toilette at Anthropologie, which you can also find at Amazon. This Oceane eau de toilette received high reviews on what I consider the best fragrance review website, Fragrantica. I consider the container to be just so-so, but oh, the fragrance! It’s long-lasting and divine, especially if you love aquatic and aromatic fragrances.
Beach-themed kitchen towel.
A bevy of beach-themed gifts wouldn’t be complete without a pretty tropical fish themed kitchen towel. This one is 100% cotton, and can be found here.
And who wouldn’t want a beach-scented candle also? You can find lots of sea-scented and beach-themed candles in discount stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross. I had a hard time choosing which beachy-scented candle to buy, but I especially liked the cute design of the top of this candle, with the nautical knot and mother of pearl button.
With just a bit of imagination, you could easily change up a bevy of beach themed gifts to be more masculine. For instance, you could substitute the woman’s fragrance with an aquatic-scented man’s cologne, like Calvin Klein Eternity for Men Aqua. Instead of the pretty kitchen towel, you might want to substitute a more masculine nautical-themed photo frame.
The idea? Get creative! And keep your eyes open when planning and buying for a bevy of beach themed gifts, whether they’re for a mom, dad, sister, brother, friend, hostess, or wedding couple!
I hope ya’ll have a truly happy and safe summer!
